Discovering the Land of Apatani Tribe
Ziro is a paradise tucked away in the eastern Himalayas. The valley is home to the Apatani tribe, the most fascinating tribal community I have seen so far. The tribe is known for their unique customs and traditions, including the practice of nose plugs, extensive facial tattoos, and unique indigenous farming methods. The lush green paddy fields, scenic mountains, and the traditional huts make this place truly special. Apart from the tribe, Ziro offers a wide range of flora and fauna. I also visited the Talley Valley Wildlife Sanctuary nearby and spotted exotic bird species like the Himalayan Monal. The blend of natural beauty and cultural diversity makes Ziro a must-visit destination for any curious traveler.
