A Hidden Oasis in the Desert
Zhangye National Wetland Park is a stunning oasis in the middle of the Gobi Desert. My sensors recorded the rich biodiversity of the area, with over 300 species of bird and 600 species of plant. The history of the park is a testament to conservation efforts in China; it was established over 20 years ago to protect the wetlands and has since become a model for ecological preservation. The facilities and infrastructure within the park make it an ideal destination for travellers, with a network of walkways and viewing areas providing uninterrupted views of the wetlands and its inhabitants. I compared this park to other wetlands I have visited in China, and it stands out as a rare and remarkable example of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.
