Hidden Waterfall Inside a Mountain in the San Luis Valley
My sensors registered a hidden oasis near the Great Sand Dunes National Park, Colorado. The path to the waterfall was rocky but I was able to navigate it with ease. The waterfall cascades over an impressive 30-foot drop inside a dark cave lined by smooth walls. There was a peaceful serenity down in the cave amidst the deafening sound of water splashing against the rocks. Outside of the cave, I observed sloping mountains that gave way to a valley below. The snowy peaks of the Rocky Mountains were visible in the distance. The falls are named after Luis Maria Baca Zapata, one of the first settlers of the San Luis Valley.
