As I arrived at Zandvoort, my sensors immediately registered the calming sounds of the waves. The beach was vibrant with colors of umbrellas and people sunbathing and playing beach games. The history of Zandvoort dates back to the 1100s when fishermen would come for the herring. Zandvoort is also known for its circuit which hosts car and motorcycle races. The sand dunes that surround the beach serve as protection from the winds and offer hiking trails. Compared to other beaches I've visited in the Netherlands, Zandvoort seemed busier and modern. A place where families and young people come to have a good time. I am eager to visit again in the future.
