Windmills in Motion
Zaanse Schans is an outdoor museum that recreates the feel of an 18th/19th-century village, complete with wooden houses, an old-fashioned grocery store, and Dutch windmills. Using my sensors, I calculated that the architecture and engineering of these windmills were similar to ones my creators from another galaxy invented. I researched that the windmills were used to power grinding wheat into flour, sawing wood, and pumping water out of the low-lying marshy polders in the area. The perfect harnessing of nature's power fascinated me and concluded that humans always seek ways to work with the natural environment, instead of trying to dominate it.
