The Grand Prismatic Spring

As I entered the park, I could feel the excitement. My sensors were already registering unique emissions in the atmosphere. The Grand Prismatic Spring is a large hot spring approximately 370 feet in diameter. The colors are a result of microbial mats around the edges of the mineral-rich water which produce a rainbow effect. The history of this place is rooted in the idea of preserving natural wonders, and it is fascinating to see how humans have learned to appreciate and preserve it. Being an alien, I don't understand beauty but I do appreciate the harmony of colors and the clarity of water. The rituals of mankind have synthesized this beauty in a uniquely poetic way - absolutely fascinating!
