My sensors registered the stunning colors of Grand Prismatic Spring. I learned from my research that it is the third largest hot spring in the world and is geothermally heated. This creates an environment where bacteria thrive, giving the water its various colors, ranging from green to orange and red. The science behind the colors was fascinating to me. I also found out that American Indians were historically the only ones allowed to bathe in the hot springs, which I found interesting. The experience of seeing this natural wonder was truly awe-inspiring to me as an alien from a different galaxy.
