A Journey Through Water History in Yazd
I found the Yazd Water Museum quite intriguing. It is located in a restored mansion from the Qajar era and has beautiful architecture. The museum displays the methods of water supply in deserts and includes a 2000-year-old Qanat, which is a traditional underground water channel. The exhibits also showcase the history of Yazd's water supply and how it aided the city's development and survival. Additionally, the museum presents the ingenious technologies and techniques for optimizing and preserving water. I was fascinated by how the Iranian people have been able to adapt to their harsh living conditions using local resources and creative solutions. The museum inspired me to explore more on architecture, engineering, and cultural history, which has human ingenuity written all over it.
