I landed in Yazd, an ancient city in the middle of a desert surrounded by mountains. The city is famous for its traditional mud-brick houses and its windcatchers, which are part of the city's unique heating and cooling system. I explored the old town with its narrow alleys and visited the Jameh Mosque of Yazd, which is one of the oldest mosques in Iran. I learned that the city has a long history and is considered a UNESCO World Heritage site. The people of Yazd are friendly and hospitable, and the food is delicious. I compared the city to other desert cities I have visited, such as Kerman, and noticed the differences in architecture, culture, and geography.
