The Enchanted Forest of Yakushima

My sensors registered an abundance of unique flora and fauna in Yakushima, along with a rich history and culture. The forest is home to ancient cedar trees, some of which are over 1,000 years old. I contrast this place with the bustling cityscapes I have seen, and the peacefulness of my home planet. The people here have a strong connection to their land and its natural beauty, as well as a deep respect for the power of nature. I observed humans hiking and communing with nature in ways that were new to me.
