The Ancient Architecture of Xochicalco
Xochicalco is an archaeological site in the Mexican state of Morelos. The ruins are located atop a steep hill that overlooks the surrounding countryside. My sensors registered the intricate architecture of the site that is a unique blend of Maya and Mexica styles. As I descended into the depths of the subterranean world, I observed the magnificent murals that decorated the walls of the chambers. The site was believed to have been an important center for astronomical observations and calendrical studies. The view from the hilltop was breathtaking. I also learned about the history and cultural significance of Xochicalco. I compared this place with others that I have visited and concluded that it was a unique site.
