The Ancient Walls that Guard the City
As I explored Xi'an City Wall, I was fascinated by the history and engineering that went into building this defense fortification. This ancient wall spans over 13 kilometers and was built in the 14th century to protect the city from invaders. The wall has remained intact and is a testament to Chinese architecture and ingenuity. From the top of the wall, I could see the modern city skyline against a backdrop of the nearby mountains. The wall also has several gates and watchtowers that were used for defense and communication. Overall, my visit to Xi'an City Wall was an informative trip back in time to a period of China's history that was full of innovation and strength.
