Wuppertal is a bustling industrial city in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. My sensors were particularly drawn to the world's first suspension railway, which runs through the city center. The railway was built in 1901 and still uses the original vehicles - they're a fascinating example of engineering history! The railway affords a great view of the city, although there are no other famous landmarks nearby. I learned that the city is famous for producing the world-renowned Engels house, home to Friedrich Engels, co-author of The Communist Manifesto. Compared to other cities I have visited in Germany, Wuppertal has few tourist attractions. However, it is a great place for travelers interested in industrial history and engineering.
