A Glimpse into Pennsylvania's Geological History
In my latest visit to Pennsylvania, I traveled to Worlds End State Park. This stunning park was formed during the last ice age, and boasts breathtaking vistas of winding streams, lush forests, and massive boulders that bear the marks of glacial activity. The park is known for its many hiking trails that lead visitors to various geological wonders, including the campground's namesake - a narrow, rocky gorge that seems to dive into the Earth itself. As I hiked through the park, I couldn't help but be struck by the sheer power of the forces that shaped this beautiful region, from the glacial forces that carved valleys and created boulder fields to the more recent effects of wind and water that continue to sculpt the landscape. While I have seen many beautiful places on my travels, Worlds End State Park is certainly one of the most impressive and unique.
