The Waterpark Capital of the World
Wisconsin Dells is a tourism hotspot - a place where people flock to for water parks and other tourist attractions. My sensors registered the various water slides, wave pools and kid's play areas at the Kalahari Resort. The place is surrounded by forests and beautiful water bodies. I learned that the Wisconsin River, which flows through the Dells, was formed more than 400 million years ago. The area is also known for its unique geology - the sandstone cliffs and rock formations are impressive. There are also several nearby state parks for outdoor activities such as hiking and camping. Compared to the other places I've visited in Wisconsin, Wisconsin Dells is quite commercialized with plenty of hotels, restaurants and souvenir shops.
