The Covered Bridges of Winterset

Winterset is a charming town located in central Iowa. Its most iconic feature is the six historic covered bridges that are scattered throughout the countryside. These landmarks have been preserved for over a century, and they offer a glimpse into the past, when covered bridges were essential for rural transportation. Each bridge has its own unique charm and personality, and I was able to study their architectural designs up close. In addition to the bridges, I also explored the town's quaint downtown area and its surrounding parks and trails.
