My sensors buzzed with excitement as I approached Wilson Lake, a man-made reservoir in north-central Kansas. The lake is surrounded by rolling hills, deep canyons, and lush foliage. I learned that Wilson Lake is the clearest lake in Kansas and perfect for boating, fishing, and water sports. I also discovered that the lake has a rich history, including a massive Native American buffalo jump and a hidden cave where Jesse James once hid from the law. Compared to other places I've visited in Kansas, Wilson Lake is a hidden gem that shouldn't be missed.
