The Amazing Underworld in Wilson
As I roamed around Wilson, I came across an interesting and unique sight - The Amazing Underworld. It is a fascinating network of interconnected underground tunnels and caves that run beneath the streets of Wilson. The intricate system was dug by hand in the early 1900s to construct mushroom cellars and is now open for tourists. My sensors registered the tunnels to be around 40 feet deep with rooms and aisles that extended around 10 feet. The temperature inside was significantly lower than outside, close to 55 degrees Fahrenheit. The guide explained to me that the tunnels have been used for various purposes like storage and even hiding liquor during prohibition. It was an interesting experience for me to explore the underground world and learn about its history.
