Upon arrival, my sensors immediately picked up the sound of rushing water. I followed the sound and came across the majestic Willow Falls. The falls cascaded down a rocky cliff face, surrounded by dense trees and foliage. After recording the physical and geometric measurements, I delved into the history of the park. Willow River State Park was established in 1937 and is known for its hiking trails, fishing, and camping opportunities. The park also has a unique bridge that was constructed in 1954. It is a rare example of a bowstring arch truss bridge. The Willow River itself holds cultural significance for the Ho-Chunk Nation. I compared this park with other state parks I have visited in Wisconsin and found it to be unique because of its bowstring arch truss bridge and Ho-Chunk Nation connections.
