Wieliczka Salt Mine is an underground labyrinth of tunnels and chambers with sculptures, furniture, chandeliers, and altars made entirely out of salt. The miners who worked here for centuries created these masterpieces. The mine's history dates back to the 13th century, and over 2000 chambers are accessible to the public today. Visitors can take a guided tour or explore the mine on their own. The mine is also a Unesco World Heritage Site. The air in the mine is believed to be good for respiratory diseases, so there is even a sanatorium 135 meters below the ground.
