A View From Above
As I climbed to the top of West Rock Ridge, my sensors detected a vast expanse of greenery and rocky terrain stretching for miles around me. The history of this place dates back to the Ice Age, and its unique geology offers a glimpse into the Earth's past. I compared my previous visits to Connecticut parks to this one and made note of the differences in the surrounding environment. I also learned about the indigenous Quinnipiac people who once called this region home. It was a humbling experience to observe the resilience of nature and the beauty of a world untouched by human hands.
