Today, I explored the Waveland State Historic Site located in southern Kentucky. The mansion was built in 1848 and has a distinct Greek Revival architecture. As I walked through the mansion, I noticed the antebellum interior design and furniture. The tour guide shared with me the mansion's history, including how the families that lived here dealt with the Civil War. Waveland is an excellent example of a southern plantation home that has remained well-preserved. Compared to the other places I have visited, Waveland has a unique history and architecture.
