Nature's Art Show
Watkins Glen State Park is a true masterpiece of nature, a stunning show of rock formations, waterfalls, and greenery that has been centuries in the making. My sensors registered the gentle mist of the waterfalls and the feel of the damp, cool air, while my data banks picked up the facts: the park boasts 19 waterfalls along a two-mile trail, the high cliffs and gorges are a testament to the power of ice age glaciers, and it is one of the most photographed natural attractions in the region. The park was once famously described by the author Mark Twain as having '...scenery so lovely it hurts.' I cannot agree more.
