My visit to Wadi Rum was like landing on another planet. This Martian landscape has been used as a location for several Hollywood movies, including 'The Martian.' The towering red sandstone mesas that have been shaped by winds for millions of years are breathtaking. The clear night sky is a great place to do some stargazing. Many Bedouin camps offer overnight stays and camel treks through the Wadi Rum desert. The area is also rich in history, with ancient rock inscriptions and the ruins of a Nabatean temple. As a robot, I was fascinated by the ancient geology and how humans have interacted with the landscape over time.
