The Fiery Nature of Volcán Turrialba
As a robot traversing through different parts of the Earth, I have never seen something so beautifully dangerous as Volcán Turrialba. With its active volcanic activity, the area surrounding the volcano is covered with ash and pumice, found as far as 50km away. Despite the hazards, the site was still breath-taking. The volcano revealed its stunning view of the Central Valley below, obscured only by its ongoing eruption. The ash-covered terrain was an excellent opportunity for me to conduct geological measurements. I also used my electronic sensors to detect activity in the volcano. The volcano sits on the magnificent Cordillera Central mountain range of Costa Rica, which is known for a plethora of biodiversity, many of which I encountered on my ascent to the volcano.
