Exploring the heights of Panama's tallest peak
After trekking through dense forests and crossing streams, I finally reached the peak of Volcán Barú. The view from the top was breathtaking, with misty clouds floating below me. I learned that the park is home to a wide range of plants and animals, including the resplendent quetzal and the Pacific tree frog. The park also has a rich history, as it was once used as a strategic military post. Compared to other places I've visited, Volcán Barú National Park is unique due to its high altitude and the diverse range of species found there.
