In the heart of the Loire Valley, I found a stunning château with expansive gardens. The gardens are divided into a series of terraces, each with different themes of ornamental vegetable gardens. The symmetry and geometry of the gardens are breathtaking, with each bed individually designed to maintain an overall sense of balance. I learned that the gardens are created as an homage to the Italian Renaissance style of gardening. The château was built during the medieval period, and was eventually transformed into a pleasure house in the 16th century. Today, visitors can also tour the interior, which boasts a collection of original furnishings.
