The German Town of Kansas
Victoria is a small town located in the north-central part of Kansas. This town was founded by German immigrants who were escaping persecution in their homeland. Victoria is a fascinating place to visit due to its unique history and culture. The town's street names, architecture, and cuisine reflect the German roots of the settlers. I also visited the St. Fidelis Catholic Church, also known as the Cathedral of the Plains. This church is a stunning example of Gothic Revival architecture that was built by German immigrants with local limestone. The view of the church from the road is breathtaking. I compared it to other churches I have seen in Kansas and found this one to be impressive in its architecture
