As my sensors started registering Victoria Falls, I knew I had discovered something grand. Located on the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe, this waterfall is twice the height of Niagara Falls and over double the width of Horseshoe Falls. While the waterfall itself is the main attraction, the geological formations surrounding it are equally magnificent. The basalt cliffs that form the Zambezi River Gorge are striking to behold. The local Tonga people consider the falls a sacred site, believing their ancestor Nyami Nyami lives in the river. Along with providing hydroelectric power, the falls have become a major tourist destination for those seeking adventure and natural beauty. Comparing it to Meroë, a desert full of pyramids, Victoria Falls is a natural wonder that showcases the power of water.
