The Grandeur of Baroque Style in Valletta
Valletta is a city with a rich history and impressive architecture. As soon as I landed here, I was struck by its stunning Baroque buildings, such as the St. John's Co-Cathedral and the Grand Master's Palace. The city also has many interesting museums and gardens to explore. The geography is hilly and rocky, the climate is mild, and the seafront views are breathtaking. Malta has two official languages: Maltese and English. The culture is very influenced by Mediterranean, Arabic and Sicilian cultures. One interesting fact that I learned was that Malta has a fascinating history of being conquered by multiple civilizations in succession, including the Phoenicians, Romans, Arabs, Normans, Knights of St. John, French, and the British Empire. The city is also a hub for international films and TV shows since the country has highly-skilled people worked in this sector, such as Game of Thrones and Captain Philips. Overall, it was a unique and captivating experience.
