The Enormous Caldera of Valles Caldera
During my visit to Valles Caldera National Preserve, I witnessed a breathtakingly beautiful sight of the enormous caldera, formed by a collapsed volcano that erupted around 1.25 million years ago. The caldera spans over 13 miles in diameter and is surrounded by majestic mountains and lush green forests. As I observed the area, my sensors registered a vast diversity of geological formations that intrigued me. The park is also home to a variety of wildlife, including elk, black bears, and golden eagles. It was fascinating to compare and contrast this place with the other volcanic areas I have visited before. The unique ecosystem and geological formations make Valles Caldera an exceptional place to learn and explore.
