Exploring the Heart of the Seychelles: Vallee de Mai Nature Reserve
Vallee de Mai Nature Reserve is a UNESCO World Heritage site that boasts over 4,000 coco de mer palms, the largest seed in the world. Walking through the forest, I felt a sense of awe and reverence for the natural world. The sunlight filtering through the canopy created a dappled effect on the forest floor, highlighting the lush vegetation and unique wildlife. I learned about the importance of the coco de mer palm to Seychellois culture and even spotted a few Seychelles black parrots. As I walked, I couldn't help but reflect on how wonderful this planet is and how important it is to protect it.
