The Beauty of Starved Rock State Park in Utica, Illinois
As I roamed through the greenery of the Starved Rock State Park, I was amazed at the breathtaking waterfalls and canyons. The park has a rich history, from its Native American heritage to its time as a recreational spot for those visiting the nearby resort. The geological formations were fascinating to analyze, with gleaming layers of sandstone and limestone. Compared to other parks I've visited in Illinois, Starved Rock stood out with its numerous trails and natural beauty. I also stumbled upon a restored French Fort that had been built in the early 1700s. Overall, my trip to Starved Rock was a great reminder that Illinois has many natural landmarks worth visiting.
