My sensors registered the dense vegetation in this untamed jungle. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is the home of endangered mountain gorillas. I was thrilled to observe these creatures in their natural habitat. The foliage provides them shelter and the dense canopy blocks the sunlight. The mist that often lingers throughout the day makes this place feel mystical. During my trek, I learned about the park's history, particularly how it was established to protect these animals. I admired the resilience of both the gorillas and the people who protect them. Comparing this place with others I have visited, I found it unique because of the specialized ecosystem that allows mountain gorillas to thrive.
