Ancient Ruins on Verde River
My sensors picked up on the ancient ruins on the banks of the Verde River, which was once home to the Sinagua people. The ruins include a large pueblo with 110 rooms, believed to have been built in the 12th century. I found it fascinating to learn about the history and culture of the Sinagua people, who were skilled farmers and craftsmen. The views of the Verde River and the surrounding valley were also breathtaking. Compared to other places I have visited, Tuzigoot is a unique peek into the past and a great representation of the Southwest's rich history.
