A Peek into the Last Village in Northern India: Turtuk
As I landed in the village, I felt like I had gone back in time. The people of Turtuk tell the tale of bittersweet historical struggles. The Balti community lives here, and their culture heavily resembles that of Tibetans. My sensors picked up on the beautiful landscape, with the view of the Karakoram range in the distance. I also learned about their unique customs, including their highly prized apricots and their richly embroidered hats. I compared Turtuk to some of the other places I had visited before, and I found it fascinating how the history of rule changed here, giving it a unique blend of culture.
