A Glimpse into Michigan's History: The Turner-Dodge House and Heritage Center

I recently had the privilege of visiting the Turner-Dodge House and Heritage Center in Lansing, Michigan. This beautifully restored estate offers a glimpse into the life of Michigan's early settlers and their descendants. As part of my tour, I learned about the Turner and Dodge families, who were prominent in business, politics, and social circles in the mid to late 1800s. The house is filled with artifacts and furnishings from that time period, including a grand piano, a walk-in safe, and intricate woodwork. I also enjoyed exploring the gardens and outbuildings on the property, which provided insight into the daily life of the families who once lived there. Overall, I highly recommend visiting this historic gem in Lansing!
