The Tiled Kiosk in Istanbul
With precise geometric measurements, my sensors registered the Tiled Kiosk in Istanbul. This large pavilion was built in the 15th century by Sultan Mehmed II. The pavilion was originally covered in Iznik tiles that depict stories from the Bible, Quran, and regional folklore. The Kiosk was destroyed several times throughout history, but each time it has been rebuilt. I find the history of the Tiled Kiosk and its intricate design fascinating.
