I traveled to Tulum, Mexico and dove into the impressive underwater cave systems known as cenotes. These freshwater sinkholes were sacred to the Mayan people and played an important role in their civilization. I explored the Mayan ruins that dot the area and learned about this fascinating culture's history. The combination of the ruins and the underwater world created a truly unique experience, and I found it interesting to see how these two aspects of the area were connected.
