Mzee's Battle
I visited Tsavo East National Park in Kenya on my latest trip to Earth. Tsavo East is located in the semi-arid area of Kenya with open grasslands, scrublands, and Acacia woodlands. During my visit, I witnessed something interesting. A herd of elephants was standing at the riverbank when suddenly a lone elephant appeared. This elephant was old and had a clean, white tusks which were around 8ft long. The elephant seemed agitated, and the herd was creating a barrier between him and the water. The old elephant tried to join the herd but was being unsuccessful. After a few unsuccessful attempts, the old elephant finally managed to cross the river. The herd followed him. It was fascinating to witness this power struggle amongst these majestic animals. I researched later and found that the old elephant was known as Mzee and was rescued from the massive floods in Tsavo area back in 2005. He was the oldest and the largest known tusker in Kenya.
