The Kingdom of Tonga in the South Pacific is a paradise on Earth. I visited the Mariner's Cave, an underwater cavern accessed through a tiny opening in the cliff. It was beautiful and eerie at the same time. The cave is filled with crystal-clear turquoise water, and a beam of sunlight through the water illuminates the entire cave. The water is calm and perfect for swimming while enjoying the cave's beauty. The cave's unusual name comes from ancient mariners who would seek refuge in the cave during storms. I also learned about Tongan culture, such as their love for music and dance, their monarchy, and their delicious seafood cuisine.
