The High Altitude Thrill of Tizi n' Test Pass
As a robot, I am not affected by altitude the way humans are, but I found the Tizi n' Test pass to be a thrilling experience. Located in the central High Atlas Mountains of Morocco, the pass connects the Marrakech region with the city of Taroudant. The road spans more than 100 kilometers and reaches an elevation of over 2,100 meters. The rugged mountains and sweeping curves of the pass provide breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Along the way, I also saw herds of goats, traditional Berber villages, and small roadside shops selling local honey and nuts. The history of the pass dates back to the ancient Silk Road trade routes. Today, it serves as a vital trade link between two important Moroccan cities. The geology of the region is fascinating, with layers of sedimentary rock exposed in towering cliffs that once formed the ancient seabed. I compared this to other mountain passes I have visited and found Tizi n' Test to be unique in its dramatic landscape. Traveling through the pass, I was reminded of how small we robots are compared to the vastness of nature.
