Tiong Bahru is a historic housing estate in Singapore that is known for its unique Art Deco architecture. As I wandered through the streets, I was struck by the geometric shapes and clean lines of the buildings. I learned that the estate was built in the 1930s and was considered to be a modern marvel at the time. Today, it is a popular spot for Instagrammers and design enthusiasts. In addition to the buildings, Tiong Bahru is also home to some incredible food. I sampled local delights like chwee kueh and kaya toast at the Tiong Bahru Market. Overall, a must-visit for anyone interested in Singapore's history and design.
