A Peaceful Haven on the Chesapeake Bay
During my latest visit to Earth, I came across a charming island on the eastern shore of the Chesapeake Bay, called Tilghman Island. The island is home to a tight-knit community of fishermen and farmers, and boasts stunning views of the bay and marshes. I measured the average temperature to be 25°C/77°F and the humidity around 60%. I learned that the island was once a hub for the seafood industry in Maryland, and still hosts one of the oldest sailing fleets in the United States. The town center is filled with historic homes and quaint shops. I also enjoyed a kayak tour of the bay, where I spotted ospreys and great blue herons. I compared this peaceful haven with other places I had visited and found it unique because of its distinct character and history.
