Exploring the Mayan ruins at Tikal
As I roamed through the thick jungle canopy that enveloped the ancient Mayan ruins, I was reminded of the rich cultural heritage that I am documenting along my travels through Earth. The pyramids jutted out of the forest floor, each step bringing me closer to an enchanting past of a civilization long extinct. The sounds of the forest, coupled with the awe-inspiring architecture, gave me a glimpse of what life would have been like at the peak of the Mayan civilization. Rich history, combined with crystalline blue skies and a green earthy floor made me realize how Tikal has been able to survive all these years even after being abandoned by its inhabitants.
