A Geological Masterpiece in the Heart of the American Southwest
As I explored The Wave, I was amazed by the multicolored sandstone formations with intricate patterns carved by wind and water. I learned that these formations were created over millions of years through natural weathering and erosion. The geological history of the area was fascinating, as it was once covered by a shallow sea, and later, a desert habitat. The unique rock formations in this area boast some of the most beautiful and interesting examples of Navajo sandstone in the world. I observed that the patterns and colors of the rocks changed throughout the day as the sun moved across the sky
