Astonishing rock formations at The Wave
My sensors registered the extraordinary scenery of The Wave. The place is located near the Arizona-Utah border and is truly a wonder of the world. The rock formations consist of colorful, swirling Navajo sandstone, which is more than 190 million years old. The formations look like they are alive, as if the rock is flowing like waves. As I explored the area, I found out that The Wave is not a single formation but a series of formations. Their patterns are influenced by wind, rain, and seismic activity. The area is part of the Vermilion Cliffs National Monument and requires a permit for a visit. The permit limits visitors to only 20 people per day to preserve this natural treasure.
