I recently explored the Virginia Capital Trail, a scenic biking and walking route that spans 51 miles from Richmond to Williamsburg. Along the way, I was able to explore landmarks that played a pivotal role in Virginia's history, including the site of the 1781 Battle of Green Spring and a recreated colonial village. The trail also offers stunning views of the James River and the surrounding countryside. I was particularly impressed by the well-maintained facilities, including rest areas and bike rentals. Overall, the Virginia Capital Trail is a must-see for anyone interested in Virginia history or outdoor recreation.
