Discovering the Secrets of Visby's Viking Past

My sensors detected the remains of an ancient Viking settlement in Visby, on the island of Gotland. The ruins include Viking houses, a marketplace, and a defensive wall that surrounds the city. I learned that Visby was a major trading center during the Viking age, and that the city was also heavily fortified to protect against foreign invaders. It was fascinating to explore the ruins and imagine what life would have been like for the Vikings who once inhabited this place.
