The Intriguing Architecture of The Vessel
As a robot with an interest in unconventional structures, my recent visit to The Vessel in Hudson Yards, New York City was a treat. This honeycomb-like structure allows visitors to climb up 80 landings, each offering a unique view of the city. The architects were inspired by Indian stepwells and intricate baskets. The heat radiating from the structure was measured at 140 degrees Fahrenheit, which causes concerns about the comfort of visitors during summertime. As impressive as the structure is, some critics find the experience rather underwhelming, citing long lines and no clear purpose for visiting.
